Apalachee Restaurant in Bristol

Arrived wanting to eat there & was told the kitchen was closed until 5pm but I could have a vfc salad. I said I wanted a real meal & the server suggested Subway.

Nice place to see a movie.

Local hometown sorta place where they all know each other’s name. Easy parking, easy to find, service was awesome our service was very personal, friendly and new her food. It was delicious as could be. Recommend the fried catfish enough to share coupled with a trip to the buffet for cornbread casserole, Lima beans, collards and cornbread. Time for a nap! Keep running out of favorite foods. Today was out of salad, pork chops, sirloin and more. Got order wrong.

$10 buffet including your drink. Fried chicken, meatloaf, and mac and cheese, etc.Salad bar and dessert included. Menu items also available.

The steak was alright though the flavor lacked inspiration. An over use of McCormick spices with some otherwise average meat. The salad bar was pretty nice though, though a lot of the infrastructure and atmosphere was outdated even for a mom and pop shop.

My BLT WAS GOOD except the lettuce looked fake or old.fries was great HOT N FRESH NO SALT. BUT OTHER family members had alot of complaints. Broccoli was burnt or old,corn was very cold.subs come with American cheese only not Swiss.

Probably the absolute worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Steak tips were grey and about one inch in size and flat. I was charged extra for mashed potatoes that were instant and served in a tiny styrofoam bowl. If this place is well liked it has to be the locals who probably never left the state let alone their county. Trust me there is better food out thete this place ain't it. Yuck

I went on a Friday and they had 2 types of fish and fried chicken on the buffet with all the fixins. It was fantastic. Very nice folks, too.

Home style food, good portions, reasonable prices!

Best chicken restaurant in Florida. Stopped there on our way to Orlando. First time we had a "pay forward" treat. We did same in return. Will visit when in the area.

The food selection is really good and the food is great..The Apalachee Burger is one of the best I ever had..Great service too.

What a wonderful surprise passing through from Tampa. this is better than the restaurant we were intending to go to but passed right by it on the highway. The lunch bar was very good and including the dessert and salad bar. There were lots of menu selections and my husband loved his choices as well. I even ordered two burger patties for my dog. Service was outstanding and super friendly. Prices were very good. I wish this was closer to where I live.

For many years and almost every time I visit Bristol, FL, I eat at the Apalachee Restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. I particularly enjoying "treating" myself to the country cooking-style buffet during Saturday's lunch.

Quality food and excellent service.

I had the buffet on a Sunday at 11 am. The food was fresh and hot. The fried chicken was very good and most other sides were good as well. I love chicken and dumplings. My grandmother cooked them and know how they should toast. These tasted nothing like they should of tasted. They tasted like water. It was very weird tasting. I got my sister in law to taste them and she was even shocked as to how bad they were. The service was good. It took her a long time to even see us. It is seat yourself so the server didn’t know we were there until 15 min later. Once she came over it was fine. She was nice and bubbly. I asked her what type of desserts they had on the buffet. She said I have no idea anything the cooks concocts. It was funny and I found a dessert that was good. Overall a good experience for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

It was great. Food and service was very good. Only gave a 4 due to the restaurant was out of several items, but the quality of food we ordered, very much made up for that.

As soon as we walked indoors. They welcomed us in as part of the family. We stopped by for a quick lunch. We ate the buffet bar. Very good selection, salad bar, homemade goods. The price is great. Not very expensive at all.I recommend this place to anyone passing by. These folks are awesome!!

Good old home cooking buffet style, a local favorite

It wasnt great and wasn't horrible either. Apparently a place for locals. I tried the buffet and sampled the baked chicken, greens, hush puppies, liver & onions, ham and peach cobbler. If I came back I may order a burger off the menu.

Great Buffet and breakfast! Breakfast till 11am. Great stop between Tallahassee and Panama City off Hy 20.

Sausage gravy and biscuit was on the money.

Standard small-town hole in the wall place with a really good cook. The building is a bit run down, but they nailed the eggs over easy, which is impressive. The loaded hash browns were also tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Best hamburgers and fries. Also buffet is great. Fried chicken is always cooked great and the vegetables are always good.

Great southern comfort food served here and our waitress was wonderful. Enjoyed fried chicken and stewed tomatoes from the buffet with some delicious cornbread.

Food: Amazing. Like seriously amazing. Like I want to marry the mash potatoes. Service: Very pleasant. We showed up 30 minutes before closing and were there 30 minutes after, not once did we feel rushed. Why aren’t there more of these around?

Great local spot for friends to catch up and share a comfort-food meal that tastes home-cooked. It offers a relaxed, cozy atmosphere with great food and service. I had the breakfast bar. The eggs, bacon, and sausage we're delicious, and they have fabulous coffee. It's worth going there just for the coffee. It's very casual and family-friendly and well suited for large groups. It's also inexpensive and parking is easy. This is definitely a Southern food spot with lots of Southern charm. There's nothing fancy about it, but that's part of why it's so popular with the locals. Just good food in a comfortable, easygoing setting. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been.

Great little place to stop and eat. Good country fried steak and mashed potatoes. My husband enjoyed his cubed chicken with peppers and onions. Our waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

Passing thru on an 8 hour trip and found this gem. The breakfast sandwich on a homemade biscuit i had was amazing! Sweet tea was perfect! Didn't dissapoint!

Had a delicious bacon cheese burger and the waitress was very nice. I'd definitely stop in again if I was in the area.

I was very satisfied with the food. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was because this place needs a serious overall.
